The brothers’ rivalry is undoubtedly true when it comes to Jake Paul and his older brother Logan Paul.
The first episode of Paul American in their new reality series dropped to Max this week, and Jake first announced plans to eventually fight Mike Tyson as one of the most seen fights in the history of combat sports. However, shortly after the fight took place, Logan went on a podcast with his Prime Energy Drinks business partner KSI, and after the veteran, now 58, accepted Jake’s challenge, he chuckled a match-up for Tyson’s leading age.
It led to an ugly exchange on the phone when Jake reaches out to his brother after watching an episode of the podcast.
“I’m going to do everything I can to make it the biggest event I can,” Jake told Logan. “You’re the closest person to it, and you’re undermining it. KSI is talking shit about it. You’re so lost to me, brother.”
In another segment, Jake claimed that Logan made this famous to him for a lifetime, so after announcing the biggest opportunity of his career, he wasn’t totally surprised that it happened.
“Logan is always undermining the chances he can get,” Jake said. “He’s sitting there with my biggest enemy (KSI) talking about the greatest accomplishments of my life. That’s not what my brother should do.”
Of course, just like Logan and KSI have grown in recent years, Jake’s feud with KSI is well documented, which perhaps makes the podcast episode even more difficult to engulf.
Still, Logan didn’t think what he said was that harsh.
“I said he’s old so no one’s going to see Mike Tyson. Everyone knows he’s old,” Logan said. “Boys, what have you seen on the F*CK podcast? I’ve made you all the way up! I said you could knock him out second.
“Bro, who’s your yes guy? I’m not. Let other people tell you that it’s going to be a good fight with Mike Tyson. He’s old, he’s a buddy!”
It wasn’t going well with Jake yet. Jake attempts to explain to his brother that perception is real. To underestimate the fight to his family was a bad look at the promotion of the event.
“That’s not the point,” Jake said. “It’s about selling the fight. It comes from my own brother.”
The conversation was then worsened with Jake aiming for Logan’s personal relationship.
“I have great friends and family. You don’t even have a single f*cking friend.
Logan then fights back on the same accusation before ending the conversation with Jake, whose conversation is hanging from his brother.
“You live in the house with your paid partner,” Logan said. “He hung up. What are you doing, bitch?”
During the episode, Jake and Logan’s mother admitted it was difficult to see their sons at odds with each other, especially when things got so troublesome between them.
Logan admitted that his personality often clashes with Jake, which could potentially become a flammable situation.
“Jake is a tough guy, but he’s also sensitive and I’m Usher*le,” Logan said. “That’s not a good combo.”
Jake seemed to agree, especially when it came to the attitude his brother Logan would take with him.
“Sometimes, I don’t understand why Logan treats me like this,” Jake said. “It’s a socially disabled level lack of empathy for his younger brother, and he’s always trying to tear me apart.”
That nasty conversation got worse when Jake and Logan Paul sat down with Warner Bros. touting the fallout had occurred before they even pitched the idea for a new reality show. Thankfully, Coolerhead won, and Logan later told his brother that he edited the episode of the podcast in question with comments about the fight on Tyson.
Jake ultimately fought and defeated Tyson by decision in a matchup viewed by 100 million viewers on Netflix.
The first episode of Paul American is currently streaming on Max.
