The New York Knicks looked flat between Game 3 and the Boston Celtics. Their performance dissatisfied superstar security guard Jalen Brunson. This should mean they are trying to play better in the second home game of the series.
After rising 2-0, the New York Knicks were high after beating the Boston Celtics in two straight games. Every team in the league jumps at the chance to defeat the defending champion twice. However, it may have gone to the Knicks’ head as it didn’t work well in Game 3.
The Celtics were struck by the opportunity as they had the victory they deserved. It was a strong bouncing night for Jason Tatum and the Celtics after their rough game two.
Knicks superstar guard Jalen Brunson scored a key point after Game 3. He took the wrong approach to the game and felt he could do better.
New York wanted a 3-0 lead, but they couldn’t beat the defending champions three times in a row. They have to defend their home court in Game 4, as the Celtics can tie the series together with two wins each.
“I don’t think we had the idea of being satisfied, but I think that going up 2-0 is unconsciously satisfying. It’s not the way we need to approach the game,” Branson said after the game.
The Knicks lacked energy, so Branson gave a good point. They wanted to win the game, but they couldn’t see because of their low energy.
They lost Game 3, but I know the Knicks must be more assertive in Game 4. They have a crowd on their side, so it’s again at Madison Square Garden.
Knicks players work well, especially when fans are by their side. Coach Tom Thibodeau and his team do not want the Celtics to return to the series. The defending champions are tough matches, especially when they are confident.
OG Anunoby wasn’t the best player in the series. He often has a huge impact, so expectations are high for him. However, he has become the most disappointing Knicks player, and he has redemption performances in Game 4.
Branson and the rest of the team are willing to win the game. But the Celtics are particularly similar to all their suspicious people. This series appears to be even more competitive. As Branson said, they didn’t have the best mindset in Game 3. It changes in Game 4, so Joe Mazzura and the Celtics need to be ready.
