Jalen Brown gave a harsh comment to his Celtics teammates after Jason Tatum’s injuries seemed to motivate him to play better tonight. The Celtics’ sly mood after Game 4 is replaced by joy.
Jalen Brunson claimed that the Knicks dominate the Celtics without playing the best basketball. Well, those words came back to bite him tonight.
Branson may be the Knicks MVP. However, his performance in Game 5 was awful. And when the reporter pointed out his statistics, he had no words.

Jalen Brunson was in dialogue with reporters at a post-game press conference. One reporter asked Branson why he committed five fouls in the third quarter alone.
Branson had to go back double to confirm that he had heard the reporter correctly. Upon confirmation, Branson was speechless and forced to apologise.
Reporter: “How about the third quarter? Have you ever gotten five fouls in that quarter?”
Jalen Brunson: “A quarter foul? I don’t know what you’re going to say to me… I’m not going to say anything, I’m sorry.
Perhaps he doesn’t realize that happened in the middle of the game, but even the All-Star point guard was surprised to hear how he got out of the game during the quarter.

With Jason Tatum out and leading the Celtics 3-2, the Knicks are still a heavy favorite to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals despite their losses.
However, Game 6’s losses are devastating. Not only will the Knicks force them to return to a raucous TD garden environment for Game 7, they will also be a psychological blow that will recover from most teams.
So the Knicks have to treat Game 6 as a must-see. The Celtics may not have one of their best players, but they dominate the NBA champions and have one of the deepest rosters in the league.
The Knicks have the Celtics where they want them to. However, playing around in this series and giving the Celtics a route is extremely dangerous.
