Russell Westbrook may have come with a crucial steal to bring the Nuggets to victory, but Jalen Rose still thinks he is a big risk.
The Denver Nuggets today received a massive victory over the LA Clippers. The Nugget had a prayer and at one point it didn’t appear to have dropped by 20 points.

Speaking on NBA TV after the Nuggets won the Clippers, Jalen Rose spoke to his frustration with Russell Westbrook.
Despite Westbrook’s important play, Rose pointed out that Russ is very unpredictable. You will never know if he will win or lose a team.
“He has an irrational confidence. It’s a gift for his game and a curse. You know you’re going to put in the effort, but you don’t know when he’ll make that play that keeps both teams in the game.”
“That’s what we saw today, he slowed down the Big 3, but then… he’s open for a reason.

That’s not necessarily his confidence, but his relentlessness that makes Russell Westbrook so dangerous. No matter how well or poor he plays, Russ doesn’t hesitate to play right.
Now his execution is undoubtedly under scrutiny. But we can never say that Westbrook hasn’t given him the absolute best every time he’s in court.
The responsibility lies with the coach. Westbrook is useful for any team, but he is equally dangerous if left to his own device.
Westbrook needs to play moderately, and the coach needs to determine exactly where he can make the best impact.
