Former British paceman James Anderson retired from the longest form of the game after 20 years of international cricket in England. But now, almost a year after his retirement, he has made a massive revelation that shocked cricket fans.
England currently plays in a five-match Test series against India, with James Anderson being a prominent part of the series as a player for many years. He celebrates many golden memories, along with the BCCI, by the ECB, who renamed the Anderson Tendulcal Trophy.
James Anderson’s wife is angry with England – why do you know?
British paceman James Anderson held his final Test match against the West Indies in July 2024, 20 days before his 42nd birthday. Anderson made his debut for England in 2002 and joined as a 20-year-old pacer, gradually gaining England’s greatest position for over 20 years.

But now it’s almost a year since he retired, and Anderson insists he has no plans to retire in his mind. It was the English management who moved out of his legacy. He also stated that his wife was very angry at the facts.
He has made it clear that he is not angry with the UK due to the move, but his wife is still up to the point about the steps taken by Indian management. However, she is mentioned as his biggest supporter in international cricket.
He said, “I told you honestly, retirement wasn’t in my mind. I wasn’t mad (moved by the UK).

England honored Ir James Anderson with the Anderson Tendulker Trophy
At 42, Anderson was still fit and regularly found himself in the wicket. He is currently appearing in British franchise-level tournaments and has won a spectacular stint in the recent Vitality Blast T20 tournament.
He was also named Manchester’s original in a pre-season wildcard entry. The English legend went down with a wicket of 991 in international cricket, the third highest in the history of the game.
The English legend of 702 (test), 269 (ODI), 18 (T20I) wickets line up with the great Indian Sachin Tendulkar with 15921 (test), 18426 (ODI), and 10 (T20I) run to change the famous Pataudi trophy.
The two legends launched the Anderson Tun Cal Trophy prior to the onset of the series, but Pataudi’s legacy also lived through the joint efforts of the ECB and BCCI.
India and England’s first Anderson Tendulkar title contest
India and the UK are currently playing in their first season of the James Anderson Sasin Tendrukal Trophy. It replaced the Pataudi Trophy, which began in 2007.
England launched a new trophy with a victory at Headingley, but was supported by India’s impressive performance in Birmingham. England revived their chances with a comeback victory at Lords, with India currently continuing 2-1 in the series.
The remaining two matches are left to be played in Manchester and in ovals, so there is any chance of a team winning the first season.
