Lea Allen dropped to third place after Harden’s shooting from range with the Jazz, with the Clippers guard winning 20 points, six rebounds, 11 assists, two steals and two blocks.

Harden reached the latest milestone in his career, and the future Hall of Fame gave credit to both his old teammates and New as he entered his 16th year in the league.

“It’s an incredible achievement,” James Harden said after surpassing Allen’s second. “It’s a testament to the amount of work I’ve put in. I’m just getting older and abandoning an incredible career and starting to accomplish that.

“I just want to motivate young people and everyone else who are chasing their dreams of playing professional basketball and more. That’s an honor.”

He went up to second place in the record book, but Harden has already accepted not to catch Steph Curry, who is already in his league.

“I’m one of the most confident people in this league. But no. I’m not going to catch Steph. I don’t think anyone can do it. He shoots the ball too well,” admitted Harden.

Harden dragged curry at the top of the 808 3-point record book, showing no signs that the Warriors superstar will be slower as he approaches retirement.

The league’s top three-point scorer heads straight to Monday night as the Clippers play the Warriors at the Intuit Dome.
