Liverpool legend Jamie Carrager made a rather big claim on the Arne Slot aspect after an unconvincing start to the season.
The Reds just lost a back-to-back game against Crystal Palace and Galatasaray, and these results followed generally unconvincing performances.
Even if Liverpool had taken up the victory at the start of the campaign, they delayed it a few times and acknowledged many goals.
It’s also painfully clear that summer signature Florian Wiltz is struggling so badly, with Karager urging slots to drop German International for a while.
Liverpool’s summer signature was useless
Carragher even feels that Liverpool’s summer signatures are generally making the team worse. The slot side wasn’t as stubborn as last season, and the new offensive player didn’t have the effect of many people wanting or expecting it.
Speaking about CBS Sports, as Metro quoted, Carragher said: “I don’t feel like I’m looking at the top team. Liverpool isn’t playing soccer now. I play basketball.
“Liverpool went out from a team like artisans. They sprinkled a bit of stardust on it in the transfer they brought in. They’re getting nothing in the future, but they lost a lot defensively.”

On Wirtz, Pundit added:
“He’s a boy who’s coming to a new league and has plenty of time to go as a Liverpool player, but I think he needs to come out of the team right now. Liverpool should go back to where he was last season, go from there and build confidence and defensive solidity because it’s a mess right now.”
