Swedish International was one of the most amazing centre forwards in world football at his time, and most Reds fans will certainly enjoy their arrival at Anfield.
However, Carragher believes the kind of money he needs to sign Isak looks to be on top, and the £150 million fee should bring someone like Kylian Mbappe.
A duplicate-talking commentator suggested that when the LFC was already heavily spending his Hugo Ekitike in that position this summer, he couldn’t see such a big signature happening…
Jamie Karager weighs Liverpool Transfer Saga from Alexander Isaac
“We don’t want to spend £150 million on ISAK on Liverpool,” Karager said.
“There’s something about Liverpool buying another striker for £800,000 and he’s a backup.”
He added:
Carragher added that £150 million should win someone in the Mbappe caliber. Isak is world class, but he is undoubtedly an elite bracket like that.
Does Liverpool have ISAK and Ekitike on the same team?
Ekitike was a prolific scorer for Eintracht Frankfurt last season and appears to be a great signing for Liverpool.
The French can manipulate widely as needed, but that’s not his best position, so the LFC should probably stick to a plan that will make him their main center.
Isaac looks like an attractive opportunity. Karager says he threw a toy slightly out of a Newcastle pram.
But that doesn’t mean that Liverpool will throw the entire plan out of the window and spend a lot of money on one player who is not urgently needed.
