Who is Jamie Gittens? Background and early career
Gittens, who is only 20 years old, is a lot at the start of his senior career, but he’s already moved around quite a bit after various stints at different clubs at the youth level.
Gittens, starting from his hometown club reading, also spent time at the Chelsea academy before moving to Manchester City.
But two years later in Manchester, the Gitens made a brave move to move things like Jadon Sancho and Jude Bellingham to German giant Borussia Dortmund.
Slowly and surely, Gitens began to establish himself with Dortmund’s first team, succeeding with Sancho and Bellingham moving abroad for more first team opportunities.
With now more than 100 appearances, the Gitens could leave the Bundesliga giants and return to England.
Career statistics and performance style
Gittens currently plays 107 games in total for Dortmund, scoring 17 goals in all the club’s tournaments.
Twelve of them appeared in the season, and Gittens by far produced the most productive campaign in BVB.

English Youth International also got three assists, which is not particularly expensive and gives us insight into his playing style.
A true talented attacker, Gitens often starts on the left side, but he also plays in the middle as his best attributes tend to involve him cutting inside and taking shots at the goal.
His fast feet and clinical finishes make Gitens certainly an asset for many top teams, but one area he can probably do well in improving his crossing and final ball.
Still, his playing style is a joy to see him, and it becomes a real nightmare to oppose him.
