Leicester City striker Jamie Birdy has received an advantageous offer from the MLS club prior to the summer transfer period.
It appears that no final decision has been made on Vardy’s future at King Power Stadium yet, and the former England International is waiting for Ruud Van Nistelrooy to see what happens as manager.
The Dutch tactician will likely be able to show the door after Leicester’s relegation from the Premier League this season.
Leicester would likely want to have Vardy with them in the championship next season, but at 38 he may be considering a big final payday overseas.
Vardy previously linked to a Saudi club, but now it appears that the main interest in him comes from the US.
Jamie Birdie gave forward advice by Gary Neville
Discussing the recent Vardy situation, Gary Neville was heavily, saying he felt Foxes Hitman would stay with the club and do well to help them in the championship next season.
“He obviously lost his pace garden, but I think there are opportunities now in America and other parts of the world where you can go and play.
“I think they should stay in Leicester… why? They don’t need Jamie Birdie in the championship?
“They will have more balls, they will dominate the game.
“He knows how to work in a box in a short space, and he’s getting better with it.
“There may be a position for him in 25-30 games next season. He could still be a significant person to them.”
