Jean Silva says that the devil does not own him, as Bryce Mitchell suggested.
Featherweight star rising Silva (15-2 MMA, 4-0 UFC) captured the winds of comments from his UFC 314 opponent in a video posted on social media on Monday. Mitchell (17-2 MMA, 8-2 UFC) said the devil will control Silva. Silva will be chased away when he meets Eripur DeFormin 12 in the cage at the Caseya Center in Miami.
Mitchell also said that since the UFC 314 press conference, the devil has been testing his ability to dream and deal with anger and desire. It was the presser that Silva defeated Mitchell with his gloves and started the “f*ck Blythe Mitchell” chants.
On Monday evening, Silva offered a brief rebuttal to Mitchell’s comments, stating that his scheduled opponent simply “fears” their fight.
“Brice, two things, these are not demons. You’re just afraid to face me, and there’s probably something wrong with that about beautiful women who have a hormone called testosterone,” Silva wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “Prepare on April 12th, because I will.”
Blythe, two things, these are not demons, it’s just you’re afraid of going to me, you’re the second about a beautiful woman who has a hormone called testosterone, and you’re probably having a problem with it. I’ll be like that, so prepare for April 12th.
