Jared McCain had a short rookie season and was impressed by the game he played for the Philadelphia 76ers.
In a year when he didn’t really cheer, Jared McCain proved to be the bright light of the franchise.
He only played 23 games due to injuries, but McCain averaged 15.3 points, proving that the Philadelphia 76ers have a future star.
They already had a stacked roster, but McCain initially thought it would be difficult to adapt.
However, he made it clear that the “cold” nature of the franchise star made things really easy for him as a newcomer.
Joel Embiid had very difficulties dealing with injuries and court issues last year.
He played in just 19 games and had incidents with journalists that even led to a halt from the league.
As it turns out last season, things may seem difficult in the locker room along with Embiid, but McCain revealed in a recent interview that the seven All-Stars misunderstood.

He states:
“But for him, it was just way colder than I thought, and that was when I first met him.
“I think seeing him all season, seeing what the media is saying and actually talking to him in person is like he’s misunderstood in many ways.”
“For me, he was a great coach. When I was on the bench, when I was injured and I wasn’t playing much or not playing at all, I was just talking to him and he’s just a good guy.”
The injury has plagued Embid throughout his career, but he was great for the 76ers at the right time.
Recently, Udonis Haslem chose Embiid on three MVP Nikola Jokic and chose it in its best condition.
Embiid was closed before the regular season ended, and surgery was successful.
His teammate Tyrese Maxey shared that he is excited to play with Embiid as he is expected to return next season.
No return dates have been confirmed yet, but it’s exciting to see how Embiid contributes.
As a franchise leader, Embiid is not the most vocal star. He leads by practicing hard and believes McCain will lift the entire team.
“Sometimes, it can be vocals. Sometimes it’s just his actions and when he enters the gym you can know, a certain energy, that changes,” McCain said.
“People want to impress him, you want to see what he’s like. When he step into that court, it takes all levels of practice, all levels of the game to another level. I think that’s the best part of him.”
