Jason Tatum and the Boston Celtics defeated Orlando Magic 103-86 in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference.
The Magic actually had a one-point lead at halftime (49-48), proving Joe Matzlla’s team that it’s not an easy series.
However, the Celtics dominated the third and fourth quarters, denying Paolo Bancello and upsetting at TD Garden.
Banchelo (36 points) was the best player on the floor as Jason Tatum was overwhelmed in the first game of the NBA playoffs.
It makes sense that Tatum praised the two teammates after the Celtics’ victory on Sunday evening.
The main reason the Celtics are undoubtedly the best team in the NBA is the quality of their role players.
The top two scorers are unable to offer under 20 points and will not win a playoff game by the age of 17.
Certainly, Tatum and Brown didn’t have to compete well against magic as Derrick White and Jrue’s holidays stepped up and 16 3-pointers tried between them.

After the game, Tatum told reporters:
Of course, Tatum needs to play better than Game 1 to retain the NBA title, but White and Holiday are something that separates them from the other teams.
White said of his backcoat partner:
Tatum is widely regarded as one of the top five players in the NBA, and one with a low performance against magic certainly doesn’t affect it.
But it’s a display like this that makes him not consider a lot in the same tier as Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
point | Field goal | 3 points | Free Throw | |
Jason Tatum | 17 | 8-22 | 1-8 | 0-4 |
The 27-year-old only made eight of his 22 shots, but missed seven three-pointers and unlike him, he missed all four free throw attempts.
It’s fair to say that Tatum was brought to victory on Sunday. That’s something that has never been said about the Denver Nuggets and Milwaukee Bucks Jokic and Anteto Compo, respectively.
