The workload management program for the Indian National Cricket Team Pace Spearhead Jasprit Bumra is all set to begin at the Asian Cup 2025.
Jasprit Bumrah, a 31-year-old Premier First Bowler, will all be taking a break for the Indian National Cricket Team’s next match in the ongoing edition of the Asian Cup.
Asian Cup 2025: Jasprit Bamra was introduced to the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan
India launched a campaign against the UAE at the Asian Cup 2025, registering the game’s dominant nine-wicket victory. They then locked Pakistan and horns and crushed the arch rivals to register a 7-wicket victory.

In both games, India has arranged a combination consisting of one frontline pacer, two appropriate spinners, one spin bowling all-round and two fast bowling all-round.
Jasprit Bumrah was India’s only expert pacer and there was no place for left-arm sailor Arshdeep Singh, the highest wicket taker in India’s T20I history.
Meanwhile, Jasplit Bumra bowled three overs against the UAE and returned with a 1/19th figure, and against Pakistan he completed a 4 over quota with his bowling figure of 2/28.
Jaspuri Bamra rests due to Oman conflict
India will then lock Oman and horn on September 19th with their final group stage fixture. They are already qualified for the Super Four, so that’s a non-important conflict for them.
According to a PTI report, the Indian team manager plans to rest Jasplit Bumra for a match against Oman.
Team India is scheduled to play Super 4 Fixtures on September 21st, 24th and 26th, and will take place on September 28th if they qualify for the Finals.
With consecutive matches lined up, India doesn’t want to put Bumra at risk. Arshdeep Singh or Harshit Rana reportedly could replace Bumra in Play XI.
“It is unclear whether Bumrah himself wants to skip the game or not, but it is expected that Cole would be more practical than putting him in danger with a dead rubber to fully charge the tournament’s business termination,” the report read.
As Bamura rests, he feels he will face Oman – Aakash Chopra
Speaking on his official YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra discussed how Arshdeep Singh plays Xi to India and predicted that Jasprit Bumrah will face Oman to rest. He explained in detail:
“They need a batter on No. 8 or not, they need to make a call. If you need a batter on No. 8, one of Kuldeep and Varun will sit down and then he has to play.
“If India says their batting has been better enough to not need a batter after No. 7, we can easily make him jump in place of Shivam Duve.
“At this point, I feel India wants a batter at number 8, so you’ll definitely see Axar Patel there. For now, there’s only one fast bowler, but as soon as you play the second fast bowler, he’ll play Oman, but Bumra will rest, but even in the World Cup or Australia, you’ll have to drop one spinner.”
