Jimmy Butler’s interactions with his Golden State Warriors teammates created a hilarious post-game moment.
The Golden State Warriors continued to excel as Jimmy Butler registered a solid victory for the Toronto Raptors.
When the game was too close to comfort, it was Butler who took things over the fourth quarter. He sealed the victory with a game-winning block in Jamal Seed’s attempt to cut the Dub’s lead to one point.
After incredible play, Butler was seen pointing to Draymond Green.
All attention was paid to Jimmy during the post-match interview as he was asked about his chat with Green in the final seconds of the game.
“I can do that too,” Butler told the media about his message to Greene.
Apart from the clutch block, Butler ended the game with a triple double, contributing to 16 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists.
Speaking of which, the 6x NBA All-Star interview was interrupted by Buddy Heald.
“Are you guys talking about Jimmy? That fake a__ triple double, did he have today?” Hield said.
Butler replied: “Oh, come on, you won’t pass enough balls to get a triple double.”
He then spoke about his respect for Green and continued to step up for the team after Stephen Curry’s back injury.
Anyway, Butler-Hield’s joke feels like it happened regularly in post-game interviews with the Warriors. Two players could be well connected to a team that wins left and right.
Butler’s triple-double helped the team win the game, but the more pressing concern for the Warriors was Curry’s injuries.
The 4x NBA champions finished the game in the third quarter after a scary fall and did not return. Head coach Steve Kerr made a much-needed update on the condition of Curry.
“(Curry) is now getting an MRI. He fell a bit into the tailbone area of his pelvis. He was about to come back,” Kerr said after the match.
“I thought he might be able to come back. We decided not to put anything in danger. It’s not good, that’s not bad, but he’s getting the image right now,” Kerr added.
It was certainly a horrible fall. The Warriors lose their leader in the final stretch of the season, which could have a great result for their team’s postseason run.
