Jimmy Butler and the Golden State Warriors have been games made in basketball heaven so far.
Former Miami Heatstar Udonis Haslem recently warned that Jimmy Butler’s hero with the Golden State Warriors could dry out.
And Jimmy Butler’s experience in the Bay was a huge success, despite a brief wobble against his former team when the Heat beat the Warriors.
After the match after a victory over the Grizzlies, Warriors coach Steve Kerr admitted Butler saved the season.
“Everyone knows that. You see what he did tonight, 12 at 12 at 12 at 12. Steph gets off the floor. We’re running everything through him.
The Warriors have been 19-4 since trading with Butler and 18-2 in the game he has played. The influence speaks for itself.
In mid-February, after a much-anticipated trade that left Miami’s heat, Butler was announced in a beam of aggressiveness.
Speaking at the time, Butler would have been successful in his move to the Golden State Warriors.
He told the press conference: “I think our personality is fine. I want to say I’m a winner. I haven’t won ‘that’, but I want to call myself a winner. I want to win “it” and “it” is a championship.
“And as far as I play with Steph, everyone knows he is the greatest archer in the world. The greatest archer in history. It makes my job so much easier. There’s probably more space.
“But more than anything, I think it’s always going to be a team effort. We all got more space.
The perspective and storyline are shaped around playoff performances and results, but this early stage saw the Warriors and Jimmy Butler hit.
Jimmy Butler did well for the Golden State Warriors.
He wasn’t in and acted like a superstar who needed to build offensive around him, adapting around Stephen Curry and Draymond Green and co.
While at the Miami Heat, Butler was expected to become a team-carrying superstar, but his chameleon-style abilities meant he changed his role to support Curry.
Golden State and Steve Kerr are famous for adding superstars to the mix and throwing Kevin Durant into the team in 2016, and having to redo the attacks around him.
There were no dramas. Butler fits so well that his supportive role is compared to Andreig Odara, the best compliment for Warriors players.
