Coach JJ Reddick points out that the LA Lakers were “unusual” to face the Phoenix Suns.
After a 0-4 road trip, the Los Angeles Lakers recently hosted the Phoenix Suns at the Crypto.com Arena. Despite LeBron James’ disappearance, the Lakers looked after the business.
In James’ absence, the dynamic duo of Luka Donsic and Austin Reeves reminded fans of the talent that the Lakers’ current version is at their disposal.
Purple and Gold improved to a 41-25 record for the season after finishing a four-game skid.
As expected, coach JJ Reddick was impressed by the team’s performance and garnered great praise from the players during the post-match meeting.
“I think it’s very unusual for a team to come back from a trip to the East Coast, and the next game will show more energy than the other teams and play harder,” Reddick said.
Certainly, the Suns are far from the top NBA teams this season, but it was amazing how much energy the Lakers players have in the contest.
Thanks to that, thanks to an elite defensive night, the Lakers were able to register their Western Conference rivals for a 107-96 victory.
Before a solid victory with the Suns, the Shorthand Lakers nearly defeated the Denver Nuggets healthy Nuggets team thanks to heroes from Dalton Knecht and Austin Raves.
Coach Redick also praised the players for their high-intensity matchups and early appearances after the nuggets.
“Added to that, we had back to back, and we lost an overwhelming game on a Friday night.
“To me, everything about this team says to us to ensure that our guys come back with an early start and become a more challenging playing team,” he concluded.
The Lakers currently have one of the busiest schedules in the league. However, if they continue their current efforts in court, the Lakers can quickly re-register their meeting rankings.
