JJ Reddick admitted that the Lakers didn’t play well with the Rocket and relied on one aspect of the game to get a win.
The Los Angeles Lakers won a monumental victory over the Houston Rockets last night. On a rough outing, the Lakers did it, even if it wasn’t pretty.
Luka Donsic praised Dorian Finney Smith for his shooting and overall performance. The pair led the Lakers in scoring, scoring 20 points each along with Gabe Vincent.
But it was far from the offensive masterclass from the Lakers, and the Lakers shot poorly and inefficiently. Perhaps JJ Redick needs another meeting with Doncic, Lebron James, and Austin Reaves.
Reddick may want to be with the Lakers for a long time, but he hopes that nights like tonight will be unusual in the future.

JJ Reddick spoke after the Los Angeles Lakers 104-98 win for the Houston Rockets. Reddick admitted that the Lakers hadn’t had a good night at the offensive end.
However, he praised the players for protecting the ball and for having a very strong defense. This is the type of defensive effort he wants to see from a player.
“We got over some missed shots and did a good job of caring for basketball. They emptied the tank on the defensive side, which was great.”
JJ Reddick also picked out Dorian Finney Smith and Gabe Vincent for praise. The first year head coach talked about how well they have embraced their role.
“If you want to be a good basketball team, you need someone to star in their roles. Our team had a lot of people who have fully embraced their roles. That was the difference in our season.”

Undoubtedly, the Lakers’ biggest problem was consistency. They showed flashes of absolute glow at each end of the courthouse.
And they had eight strong runs from February to March, but one falling Domino led the Lakers to lose all momentum.
Since then, they have been trying to find a way to get back to that level. Luka Doncic recently admitted that he needs to go back to the same form the Lakers had before.
Finding form again is paramount for the Lakers, especially in the playoffs a few weeks away.
