NBA fans are furious after the Houston Cougars program He downplayed NBA legend Hakeem Olajuwon.
It is official that the 2025 NCAA Championship Game will be played between the Houston Cougars and the Florida Gators.
So far, each program has done a phenomenal run in March’s insanity. Speaking of Houston, they had to overcome four matchups in the final of the NCAA title favorite, the Duke Blue Devils.
The Cougars registered a famous victory, but what the program posted didn’t work with NBA fans around the world.
NBA legend Hakeem Olajuwon is one of the best talents to wear a cougar jersey in program history. Despite years of being away from basketball games, Hakeem still shows endless support for the program.
Obviously, Olajuwon was on the sidelines during the Cougars’ 70-67 Duke victory. However, NBA legends were denied entry into the post-game celebrations by the team’s security team.
Of course, this has angered basketball fans. NFL hero JJ Watt considered the situation.
The former Houston Texans star wrote:
He was supported and one NBA fan blasted. “The man should be fired.”
“Imagine you don’t know who your dream is,” one fan said.
“Ah, fire that guy,” another fan requested.
Fans jokingly wrote:
“True embarrassment. He is the greatest athlete in Houston’s history,” replied one fan.
All things considered, it was truly amazing to see Olajuwon being treated like this. Certainly, it was a player’s moment, but taking part in the celebration would have hurt no one.
Before the fans become a dream they know and love today, Olaju-won had already shown signs of his talent during his three-year stint at the University of Houston.
Over three seasons, Olajuwon has made his third consecutive Final Four appearance in the program. In fact, he led them into two NCAA Championship games.
Certainly, Hakeem didn’t win an NCAA title in Houston, but it’s still a stacked resume for college players. Speaking of his numbers, he has scored 13.3 points, 10.7 rebounds and 0.9 assists in over 100 contests.
