Honda Motorogue rider Joan Mir says he “hopes to keep pushing the forces that keep pushing” in the second half of the 2025 season, full of 12-round crashes to his campaign.
After a disastrous season in 2024, Honda has made real progress with the RC213V in the first half of its current campaign.
After LCR’s Johann Zarco dominated the dramatic wet race, the Japanese brand ended its victorious drought at the French Grand Prix.
During summer vacation, Honda was fourth in the constructor’s table, just 40 points behind Aprilia in a close battle between second in the manufacturer’s rankings.
However, the duo of Honda’s factory team struggles to deal with Zarco’s form, and the injury has affected Luka Malini’s campaign.
Joan Mir endured the crash-filled 2025 MotoGP season
Joanne Mir has suffered eight crashes in the Grand Prix in the season and 15 crashes, with the 2020 world champion being involved in other people’s accidents in the recent round.
They defeated the Spaniards on the 19th with just 32 points.
Looking back at the first half of the season, he told Motogp.com:
“I tried to learn from what was my fault, but I couldn’t learn from them about other things.
“I hope I have the power to keep pushing like I do. I believe Honda brings something that will help me fight other people.”
Mir finished fifth in the recent Czech Grand Prix, but was taken away on the opening lap by Gresini’s Alex Marquez after a failed overtake attempt.
This was wiped out by AI Ogura, who crashes on Turn 1, following the German Grand Prix before Mir ran well within the point.
At the previous Dutch Grand Prix, Mir was helpless to avoid the attacked Gresini Ducati, who belongs to Fermin Aldegu, after the rookie suffered from his own crash.
Mir said it looked like his misfortune, often not caught up in someone else’s crash after the Czech Grand Prix.
