Former Los Angeles bailer Joe Kelly has been keeping an eye on MLB’s comeback, and in a bullpen that needs reinforcement, the LA reunion may prove to be a perfect fit.
The feared Minnesota twin right-hander Brock Stewart at trade deadlines and waited for several other names on the wing of the injured list, but Kelly was able to provide valuable innings in the coming months.
Kelly was recently interviewed on baseball and touched on what his potential return timeline is, rather than a boring podcast.

“I play myself, with my friends and friends,” Kelly said. “I still need to throw them probably twice more. I was a bit rusty in the last one.”
While MLB’s comeback is one thing, host Rob Bradford asked if the were the team Kelly was particularly trying to throw.
“That’s the ultimate plan,” Kelly said. “There’s time on this side. My last bullpen yesterday was amazing. I finally got my broken ball back.
After dumping his first cleat-wearing mound in “9 months,” Kelly claimed that his speed reached “94, perhaps 95” mph.
“The speed is ticking every time, it comes,” Kelly said.
Above all, Kelly wants to prove he is still a pitcher who threw a 0.79 ERA on his way to the 2018 championship. Kelly wants to show that he is the same guy who allowed the to win one in five appearances during the 2020 postseason run.
“I just want to be fine,” he said. “Speed, yeah, I’m going back to throwing 99, 100, but I want it to be a good thing.
