John Cena tells the town after winning his 17th championship at WWE’s WrestleMania 41 event on Sunday night, but he took the time to praise Logan Paul as one of his favourite upcoming stars on the roster.
The same night when Cena defeated Cody Rhodes in the main event, Paul enjoyed the victory after knocking out veteran performer AJ Styles in an exciting match at Allegianto Stadium in Las Vegas. Paul has received praise for his quick adaptation to the wrestling business, but he faces backlash by rapidly increasing his ranks without paying dues like many performers in the same industry.
That’s not so important to Cena, who says that Paul is proving his worth every time he steps into the ring, and the social influencer will become a WWE superstar and no one will care what he thinks about him anyway.
“Logan Paul is a stud,” Cena said. Patmacafee show. “I texted him right after his match, and I’m going to try something different from his entrance, because I have a drone. I thought it was dope. And his performance is doing his performance. Wrestler.
“What I like most about Logan Paul is, whether he likes him or not, he doesn’t give him two shits. He does it like himself. To see that kid because he’s unrealistic.”
As part of the entrance on Sunday night, Paul walked into the ring, clutching an airborne drone that had captured all his reactions before releasing it to fly across the entire arena.
Cena was blown away by Paul’s ability to use years of creativity to build audiences through social media and YouTube, and then made it relevant to WWE.
On top of that, Cena knows that Paul has taken the heat up for his antics over the years, and his ability to roll with Punch is a good thing when he continues his wrestling career.
“He’s disliked, but he’s set fire again,” Cena said. “Like, you’ll never work in this town again.” He has made 10 or 12 calls.
