Reigning champion Jorge Martin completed his long-awaited return to the Motogup machinery, riding the Aprilia RS-GP25 for the first time since Qatar during a private test at Misano on Wednesday.
Martin, who missed all the Grand Prix except Lucail due to a series of injuries, completed 64am laps-29 and 35pm.
“I’m so happy to be here. It was a difficult journey,” Martin said.
“Finally, I’m so happy because I returned to my MotoGP bike over three months later. It’s a shame I got injured many times before I didn’t make the whole season, but now I’m back. That’s the most important thing.”
Aprilia also confirmed that Martin “will travel to Brno to participate in the Czech Grand Prix after an official medical check.”

“See you in Brno.”
Martin has endured a series of nightmare setbacks since joining Pramac Ducati’s Aprilia, where he became the first independent rider to win the “Motogpu” crown.
The Spaniard missed all preseason tests due to wrist and hand injuries at Sepang and was further broken in a Supermoto crash just before the opening of the Thai season.
His only Grand Prix appearance came to Lessile, where he collapsed and was cut off by Fabio di Giannantonio, who maintains a rib fracture and lung trauma.
Last week, Martin rode an RSV4 superbike in Barcelona. This paved the way for today’s RS-GP testing, made possible under new rules in MotoGP for returning injured riders.
Martin added: “It felt great today. We did an amazing job. I think it was getting more and more and more from the start all day.
“And finally, we were able to do a lot on this day, so I am so happy and ready to see what comes.
“The plan is to come back to Brno, so I hope everything goes well this week, and we can train under normal circumstances.

The Spaniard was recently removed from German Grand Prix this weekend at the Saxenling, and Dr. Angelchart, medical director of MotoGP, said that his rib injury has improved significantly, but some fractures have “been not yet fully integrated.”
Brno is only a week away, but Martin is planning to ride the final event before summer vacation. However, speculation continues about his 2026 plan, with the Spaniard currently trapped in a contract dispute with Aprilia.
During Martin’s absence, teammate Marco Betzecki won with Silverstone and finally won the double podium at Assen.
