The New York Knicks are in charge to advance the Boston Celtics in the 2025 NBA playoffs.
The New York Knicks took the opportunity to win a 121-113 Game 4 victory in the Eastern Conference semi-final round with the Boston Celtics.
After enduring a biased loss in Game 3, the Knicks responded accordingly to the challenge. They are now one victory from eliminating tickets to the East Finals for the first time in 25 years and pushing tickets against them for the first time in 25 years.
Marquee’s match was about to enter crunch time until Jason Tatum’s injury in the closing minutes.
Tatum, who was burned at 42 points, had a 2:58 left with a horrible, non-contact right leg injury. LeBron James and others have already sent their well wishes to the Celtics superstars.
Perhaps in the most important game of the series, the Knicks performed best on top four players with over 20 points registered.
As usual, it was Jalen Branson as the New York superstar demonstrated another “killer” play, finishing with 39 points and 12 assists.
Karl-Anthony Towns and Mikal Bridges each dropped 23 markers, while OG Anunoby was shocked once again with 20 points.
The Big Four in New York was in the spotlight, but the Knicks understand that without PJ Tucker’s motivational leadership, their success might not be possible.
Speaking immediately after an impressive Game 4 dub, Josh Hart made sure Tucker gave him the praise he deserved.
“Scream at PJ Tucker and make sure we’re up and talking,” Hart said. “He brings that championship pedigree to us and deserves a great cry.”
Hart added, “He’s always talking to us. He’s a champion and he brings that mentality.”
The decision to commit to the Knicks Tucker, signed by the team through a past midseason 10-day contract, is an underrated move by the franchise.
After bouncing around multiple teams ahead of the fierce division with the LA Clippers and trade deadlines, Tucker quickly found a home in the Big Apple. He accepted being a veteran leader on the team.
He barely plays, but the 40-year-old shows his seasoned voice and presence in the locker room with the Knicks on the sidelines.
Tucker, the Milwaukee Bucks’ 2021 NBA champion, contributed to the experience he has as one of the former top role players in the league.
And finally, with the NBA title approaching, and a few steps closer, the Knicks are finally on their way, so they continue to rely on his knowledge and guidance to win it in the end.
