Josh O’Cookie is launching a campaign to help his teammates award the Houston Rockets their sixth Man Award.
The Houston Rockets are ready to seek the NBA Championship next season after rebuilding their roster in recent years.
The final piece of the puzzle was to land Kevin Durant from the Phoenix Suns. With a true #1 scoring option on the roster, the Rockets are in prime position to compete for titles.
However, their chances have been a huge hit since the Rockets announced Fred Van Liet’s injury.
However, the Rocket doesn’t seem to be too worried. In fact, one of Vanvleet’s internal alternatives is supported by his teammates and has won the Sixth Man of the Year award.
Josh O’Cookie suspended Tali Eason during a media availability session for the Houston Rockets and spoke to the press.
He told reporters he is supporting his younger teammates, believing that he will support his younger teammates and perform well on the bench.
“I’m going to launch a petition for Tali (to win) the 6th Man of the Year…”
Tali Eason averaged 12.0 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game from the bench last season.
With more experience and better players learning, Easton’s numbers could improve significantly next season.
During media interaction, the reporter asked head coach Ime Udoka to the player he chose to start next season.
Udoka revealed that Jabari Smith Jr., along with Kevin Durant, Amen Thompson and Alperen Senggan, is the fourth starter.
However, Fred Vanvriet’s injury still leaves the point guard with a starting point. Adding another big addition to 5th place causes interval issues.
Perhaps they’ll start Dorian Finney Smith if Udoka doesn’t trust the team’s younger point guard to start.
