Journalist Ben Jacobs provided the latest updates on Arsenal’s top forwarding targets this summer.
Written for Give Me Sport, Jacobs has won the Gunners’ dream target with an attack named Real Madrid Wide-Forward Rodrygo, but Crystal Palace’s Ebekieze is also on the list.
Arsenal is able to do inconsistent duo Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Torosard upgrades, and imagines that most fans will be very pleased with either Rodrigo or Eze.
Jacobs also reported on Arsenal, who is working on a contract with Valencia centre-back Christian Mosquera, but Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Alizabaraga and Brentford defensive midfielder Christian Norgaard are also signed.
Does Arsenal need to sign Rodrigo or Ez to resolve the left-hand issue?
Arsenal relies a bit on Buka Yosaka to provide some sparks for the front 3, and if there’s a more reliable option in the left flank, it could be a big help for Mikel Arteta.
Both Rodrigo and Eze can play there, and their statistics certainly suggest that they can have a really positive impact at Emirates Stadium.
See below for information on how it compared to production volumes in all competitions during the season…
| game | the goal | assist | |
| Rodrigo | 68 | 16 | 8 |
| Back seat | 51 | 15 | 11 |
Both players have their own qualities, but Eze made more contributions despite probably playing fewer games, but he shined despite playing for weaker teams overall.
England International has also been proven in the Premier League, so joining Arsenal will find it easier to settle down quickly.
Of course, there may even be room for both players on this Arsenal team.
Eze can be played on the left side of Front 3, but gives AFC an alternative to Martin Odegaard in the middle attack role.
Rodrigo, on the other hand, can play as a side and center striker, so there’s no problem with making both of these players fit into the same lineup.
Still, Arsenal’s dream signature is Rodrigo, and you can read more about him on the Rodrigo player profile!
