JR Smith names the "most talented" NBA player he's ever played, not LeBron James

JR Smith won two NBA championships led by the LeBron James-Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016 and the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020, but he is not the most “talented” player he’s ever played.

LeBron James may be the NBA’s all-time goals scorer, four-time NBA champion and the owner of numerous records in the league, but JR Smith chose another player as “the most talented” than him.

Discussions about the best or most talented players are always the ones that dominate the debate and create topics.

It’s such a subjective question, and as NBA players change teams frequently, asking 10 different players could give you 10 different answers.

But despite him snuggling all people’s LeBron James, many will not oppose JR Smith’s choice.

The key distinction that comes into play here is that the “most talented” players are not necessarily translated into the best players either.

James is the result of an outrageous natural talent to satisfy almost man’s disease professionalism to help him make the most of his gifts.

This means that while other players may be more talented, for some reason they didn’t exactly reach their potential.

Junior Smith, who knows one or two things about playing with the superstar, says James’ natural gifts are outweighed by another of his former Cleveland Cavaliers teammates.

His picks were not admissible to James’ former teammates, Kyrie Irving and Smith, who were currently injured, for the mercury guard.

Smith said:

“I felt like he could shoot a left hand. I saw him shoot a 3 on his left hand. I saw him shoot a left hand, a left hand.

“He is the best non-dominant and dominant finisher I’ve ever seen in my life. Who can’t dunk. I mean, he can dunk, he’s not a dunker.

“It’s not nearby either.”

It’s not surprising that Irving was chosen by Smith as the most talented player, as the point guard personifies all good things in the basketball game.

His natural talent, ball-equipped ability, and bold tendencies make him one of the most must-see superstars in the current NBA landscape.

James may be more effective, but he is blessed with incredible exercise and physical gifts to launch with natural talent, but Irving was effective in the land of the Giants.

Irving is famous for winning a bucket of victory in 2016 to seal the NBA Finals. James explained it was his most important title.

People like Steph Curry kill teams from range. James is a multifaceted threat, but Irving is one of the league’s most natural point guards.

As James himself can prove, Smith is not always spoken of as a “lock-in” person about the fundamentals of the game, but this choice makes a lot of sense.

The hope is for Irving to bring his talent back to the court at their best next season.
