Jude Bellingham is one of England’s best players and one of the best midfielders in the world. Nevertheless, he has struggled to make a mark at Real Madrid recently, despite returning from shoulder surgery in mid-September.
Bellingham has only started once since his return, with the likes of Arda Guler and Franco Mastantuono favored by Xabi Alonso. And this lack of visibility could open the door for a return to England.
Premier League clubs are monitoring Jude Bellingham’s situation
According to Mick Brown (via Football Insider), Bellingham has strong interest from the Premier League and could seek a move away from Real Madrid if he is unable to regain his place as a regular starter in the coming months.
“Of course Premier League clubs will be interested. Obviously Real Madrid have some problems. Is it simply related to the recent injury and he is working his way back to full fitness, or is it something else?”
“He has been left out of the England squad because he is not playing regularly for Madrid. Even if it is simply that he is still recovering, that obviously leads to speculation.”
“Jude Bellingham is one of the best players in the world, there’s no doubt about that. When he’s been with England, he’s consistently been one of England’s best players. So naturally a lot of clubs will be interested in bringing him to the Premier League, as many clubs were before he moved to Madrid.”
“If he struggles to break into the team, or has some problems adapting to life under a new manager, then perhaps the possibility of him moving will arise.”
It is highly unlikely that Real Madrid will consider selling him anytime soon, although Premier League clubs may be keen on him. He may have struggled to get started lately, but that’s simply because he’s back after missing two months with an injury, including missing the preseason.
