Man United is set to release Jadon SanchoSancho struggles to perform in the Premier League

Manchester United are preparing to release Jadon Sancho on a free transfer next summer. This strictly admits that the £73 million travel from Dortmund has become a sank expense.

Sancho’s time at Old Trafford will be appearing outside of the show as he sealed off the loan move to Aston Villa for the 2025/26 season.

According to Football Insider, United have decided to let the club leave the club for free next year after realising that the winger cannot sell him for transfer fees.

With his contract ending next year, his presence is no longer considered beneficial to United’s rebuilding efforts under Reuben Amorim.

Man United is set to release Jadon Sancho

Stephen Bourson told a soccer insider:

“I think the situation is that he was released at the end of his contract, so they basically gave him a free transfer.

“Listen, that’s not good for players they paid £73 million. That’s not that much. But what do you do?

“All of these are where the money has sunk, it’s gone. It doesn’t matter what you paid.”

Sancho’s stint at United failed to match the promises presented at Borussia Dortmund. Despite high expectations, he managed only 12 Premier League goals in 83 appearances.

The Loan’s move showed promise for a bright future, but Winger couldn’t impress the Old Trafford hierarchy as he couldn’t find consistency.

The English Winger hopes that the move to Aston Villa can revive his career.

The former Borussia Dortmund man spent last season lending at Chelsea, but Bruce opposed signing him a permanent move as players didn’t lower his wage demands.

He returned to Old Trafford after Bruce paid a penalty to not sign him in a permanent move.

Now Sancho has to find a solution for his career. He needs to be moved to the villa to work out to revive his career.

It will be time to see if he made the right decision to join the villa and work for Unai Emery, but as the player is currently in the final year of his contract with the club, his United will inevitably exit on a free transfer.
