Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns highly praised one of the Knicks’ teammates who stepped up with the Celtics.
With an astonishing shift in the event, the New York Knicks rose 2-0 with the Boston Celtics. The Knicks were able to steal two games from the Celtics home.
Much of the praise from their two victories was given to Mikal Bridges. He was attacked during the regular season, as well as his hefty price tags from the justified net.
However, Bridge stepped up in the Knicks’ big moments, earning some important wins for the Knicks by scoring a steal that won two games in the final seconds.
Magic Johnson gave Mikal Bridges a lot of credibility in their role in the Game 1 victory, along with OG Anunoby.

Karl Anthony Towns spoke about how important Mikal Bridges is to the Knicks after the game. The town pointed out that, like Jalen Branson, Mikal Bridge shines when the light is bright.
He calls the Bridges the most clutch defender in the NBA, and his stealing at the final moments of both games shows how well he handles opposing attackers.
“That’s what he does. We got Clutch Player of the Year in the NBA, and perhaps one of the most clutch defenders in the NBA.”
“In all the stories people have done about Mikal, it’s right when Wright shows his worth.”

Speaking after the game, Josh Hart also gave Mikal Bridges his teens to the teens for the defense he played. Hart admitted that Bridge could change the course of the game with his defense.
“I can’t say enough about his toughness, grit and his mentality. He’s like 14 points and he’s fourth without points.”
“In the fourth quarter, he played massively to keep us in the game for us. Defensively, he has the ability to change courses throughout the game.”
“Even when his shots aren’t falling, he’s making huge plays that affect his victory, so you’re giving him credit.”
The Bridges have proven crucial for the Knicks in the playoffs. Perhaps considering what Bridge did for them, the six first-round picks that Knix gave up to land him were worth it.
