Kowhi Leonard ended his unfortunate playoff streak, but the Denver Nuggets ruined the LA Clippers star’s comeback.
Another season has passed and the Los Angeles Clippers remain ringless as they were eliminated at the hands of the Denver Nuggets in the first round during their Kawi Leonard days.
It was an incredible 7-game series, but the Nuggets dominated Game 7. They registered a 120-101 victory to finish the 2025 NBA playoff run for the LA Clippers.
Speaking of the Clippers, Kauhi Leonard was undoubtedly the best player on the floor for the organization. Along the way, Klaw also sang a unique winning streak in his playoff career.
When Leonard joined the franchise in 2019, his expectations for him were to lead the Clippers to the NBA Championship.
After all, the Clippers have never reached the NBA Finals, not to mention lifting up the glorious Larry O’Brien Trophy. But with someone like Leonard leading the team, the dream seemed within reach.
Unfortunately, the injury prevented Leonard from leading the Clippers to Dreamland. In fact, since joining the team, Leonard has only played once in every postseason game (the 2020 playoffs).
Since then, Leonard has missed some level of ability throughout his team’s playoff career until the 2025 NBA playoffs.
There’s no doubt that Klaw is one of the most talented two-way players of all time, but it’s not good if he can’t maintain his health.
Coming to the Clippers’ opening round series against the Nuggets, Leonard played in all seven games.
But keeping the co-worker with Nikola Djokic wasn’t enough. It was kept at bay as the Clippers experienced a 4-3 series loss. The only silver lining was Leonard’s performance in the series.
The 33-year-old averaged 25.0 points, 7.6 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game for the Clippers. He also shot 53.7% from the field and 40.5% from the three-point line.
