Kayla Harrison personally does not accept Julianna Pena’s PED accusations.
Pena is set to reach out to two Olympic gold medalists, and at UFC 316, “Venezuela’s Vixen” had accused Harrison of using drugs that would improve her performance throughout her career.
Pena continued the trend during a recent interview with a recent submission radio, claiming that Harrison was shooting in the bathroom of a top team in America.
“I absolutely know people from the stories I was told, my own experiences with ATT, that they always shot each other in the butts in the bathroom,” Pena said.
Harrison has recently responded to all of Pena’s unfounded claims, suggesting that her comments come from a place of anxiety.
“For me, it kind of screaming anxiety,” Harrison told MMA Fighting. “When I watch her story or hear some of her say it feels like terrifying. It’s not personal to me. She can say anything about me. At the end of the day, we’re locked in a cage.
“What about steroids is, exactly, that’s funny to me. I’ve never taken steroids. I was in the first time in middle school and I was in the top five on the national roster of judo, so I was probably tested more than any athlete in the UFC.
Kayla Harrison responds to Pena’s comments about her “super juicy” build
Harrison also spoke to Pena’s comments that she has become much more “feminine” in her days as an Olympic athlete compared to the “super juicy and cut-out” physique she is currently playing sports.
“I was 170 pounds so when I competed in judo, I didn’t look like this,” Harrison added. “It’s a lot of discipline, I have a really good team around me that’s made me a proper fuel, and I’m proud of it. I’m proud of my work and everything I’ve accomplished – clean.
“I’ve never taken anything, so there’s never a scar on it. I was afraid to take Flintstone Vitamin when I started my drug test at 12am!”
For the record, Kayla Harrison has reportedly never tested positive for a banned substance through her 20 years of competition as a professional athlete.
