Chris Paul has a very successful career in the NBA and is set to join forces with the former team, LA Clippers, who could potentially be their final year in the league.
Many people, including Kendrick Perkins, don’t appreciate the move, but Chris Paul, who joins the Clippers, has brought a lot of “hope” to fans.
He was one of the best point guards in the league during his previous spells with his team. Paul was still remarkable success after leaving the LA Clippers.
The 40-year-old went to the NBA Finals while he was with the Phoenix Suns. Nevertheless, CP3 was not the name of Perkins’ top 10 point guard list.
Russell Westbrook has one of the most decorated resumes in the NBA and has also been awarded the MVP Award in his name.
He also has the unique achievement of having average triple doubles in four seasons of his career.
Westbrook and Paul had great careers, but the former have MVPs.
He states: “CP3 is the best point guard of all time. I don’t have him in the top 10. There’s no CP3 above Russell Westbrook.”
Perkins then stated the reasons behind Paul’s exclusion from the top 10 list.
“CP3 does a lot, changes franchise, wins a lot, a lot, a game. Absolutely. I’ll never take it from him.
“He’s been drafted for the Pelican in New Orleans, and he’s changed that franchise. They’re the winning organization, going to the Clippers’ victory organization and going to the Phoenix Suns – victory organization.
“But when you come to the rankings, you have to check those boxes and get praise for them. When you say praise, yes you make the championship or final MVP obviously an MVP, but CP3 doesn’t have one MVP,” he added.
Paul and Westbrook both have great careers in the NBA.
Paul was a high IQ player leading the team like a proper quarterback, but Westbrook brings energy and improves his side to a 100% game.

The championship is certainly missing from both resumes, but even without it, there is no doubt that they will be remembered forever due to the influence they have created.
Both will join the new team next year, with Paul already securing a transition to the Clippers, and Westbrook will soon be joining the franchise.
CP3 and Westbrook are nearing the end of their careers, and the comparison continues naturally, but it is difficult to separate them because of how great they are.
