Vallejos about key moments in the battle
“To be honest, I don’t remember anything from the fight. I don’t remember if I won the first round, the second round, the hand I hit him. I don’t know. I was in (a different world). Then I looked around and everyone was so happy that I was like, ‘Oh, I think we did something good’. ”

Vallejos on being the latest prospect from Argentina
“One of my dreams is to be able to open a gym in Argentina and have the resources to do my full camp there. Not only that, but I can also help others in Argentina and allow them to develop (more fighter jets).
“This new generation of Argentinians come like me and they are seen as ina. Another way. I compare it to the previous generation, Santiago Ponzinibio, (guido) ‘ninja’ cannetti. When they fought, I think the Argentinians thought they were simply locking them in cages and beating each other. Now, I think people are seeing the growth of the UFC as a new sport. The media covering this new generation of Argentinians and MMA is seeing more newspapers.”
Vallejos about what he wants next
“After my first loss to Jan Silva in the contender series, I started to feel like a UFC fighter. I saw him and how he was destroying everyone, I was able to fight him and the three rounds and even win the rounds. I felt like a UFC fighter there, and it showed me that I had what I needed to be here.
“It’s very impressive. Plus, I spoke to Jean Silva. I spoke to his team, and they are absolutely amazing people. They deserve everything they’re achieving. … He’s going to get the belt, and I’m happy with him. But I want my rematch. I want to fight the best fighters, and he’s the best. I want to show that I’m the best. He’s going to win the title, and I’m going to take it from him.”
