Kevon Rooney said goodbye to the Golden State Warriors 10 years later.
The Golden State Warriors lost a longtime player this offseason, and Kevon Rooney set out for free agency.
Rooney signs with the Pelican of New Orleans, where he aims to provide valuable guidance to young talent Yves Missi and Derik Queen.
The move is now official, with Rooney saying emotional farewells to Warriors fans.
Kevon Rooney’s decade with the Golden State Warriors has ended, and he has said an emotional farewell to the player’s tribune.
And as part of that, Rooney revealed his immediate impression of being able to see Stephen Curry for the first time.
In 2015, the Warriors just won the championship and drafted Rooney from UCLA on their 30th pick in the draft.
Curry reached its peak and entered the season, leading the Warriors to their regular 73-9 campaign, making it a “must-see” for all fans who take part in the game.
Rooney explained: That’s insane.
“I’m sure he’s the best player I’ve ever seen in my life.”
The decade-long performance of curry helped to further emphasize that Rooney’s early beliefs were spots. He went on to lead the Warriors and Rooney to three more titles.
Rooney will choose the Warriors title win in 2022 as what he was most proud of. This is because he was the championship he made his biggest contribution.
He played all 82 games that season, starting 80 and showing how far he came. His first season with the Warriors only played five games.
Rooney said:
“No one gave me anything. I worked for everything. I got the stripes.”
He added pressure by explaining how challenging it is to impress a proven winner with the Warriors when he joined.
Rooney is now entering a new phase in his career, trying to help transform the Pelican into a relevant team as well.
Now, as a proven winner with his track record, the Pelicans will feel the pressure to impress him.
