The Los Angeles didn’t have one of the most versatile players of utility man Kique Hernandez, who has been on the sidelines for an elbow injury since early July.

There were concerns that Hernandez would not be able to return this season as the 33-year-old had multiple non-surgical procedures to deal with a sprain in his left elbow.
Manager Dave Roberts has provided the latest updates on fan favorites.
“Yeah, he,” manager Dave Roberts replied when asked if Hernandez could rise soon. “He’s not in pain, he’s playing catch and I think he’s coming. He’s playing baseball now, and I think it’s kind of a September 1 situation. I think it’s kind of a broad, vague, greyish date, but I think it’s back after seeing rehab.
“I think it’s something we want.”
The target date for September 1st will take place during the month’s roster expansion just before the playoffs.
Hernandez spent a down year, hitting .195 on eight home runs, 22 runs hit, and his OPS is .626. However, he has gained a reputation for shining when the light is brightest.
In the final postseason, Hernandez reduced .294/.357/.451 with an OPS of .808. The will need production of such a type from utility men again, and LA appears to be hoping that Hernandez in October will be ready.
