Kristaps Porzingis considers one young NBA star to be a natural successor to Nikola Jokic.

Before the tournament, Kristaps Porzingis was hoping to face off against Nikola Jokic. But it was a showdown with another sensational European center in the NBA, and had a beloved Porzingis.
Kristaps Porzingis spoke after a 93-73 defeat to Latvian Turkiye. He praised Houston Rockets star Alperen Senggan for his performance.
In particular, he highlighted Sengun’s physical control and court vision, comparing him to Nikola Djokic.
“I mean, he’s good, he’s talented.
“One of the best, he’s like a baby joke. And I certainly trust him, his ability to pass and how he makes his teammates better.”
After dealing with Sengun, whom he called “Baby Jokic,” he will have the opportunity to face off against the real Nicola Jokic this weekend.
Latvia has found himself in the same group as Serbia in the Eurobasket tournament. It would be a huge challenge given that Serbia is considered a favorite to win the tournament.
Djokic has been praised by his Serbian teammates for his play, and many consider him the natural leader of his team.
Porzingis admitted that Djokic and Serbia will bring tough challenges, but he will have to do everything with his strength to try and neutralize the three MVPs on Saturday.
