The UK Superbike Sround at Cadwell Park saw a change in the championship lead. After falling into the sprint, rival Bradley Ray’s advantage was cut to 12 points, then started the grid in 7th place and moved backwards with a 12th place finish, with race 3 Kyle Ryde leading the second victory of the season.
Bank Holiday weekend brought hot, windy and sunny weather in Lincolnshire.
It was a great weekend, uh- it’s quite a sweat! My body is difficult. That last race was very difficult.
It was really nothing because the speed was great, and I had enough time to dig a bit like 4 laps or 5 laps, and I brought out a bit of a gap. Really the perfect lace. ”
The Nitrogen Competition rider revealed that he had tried to do something wise before as the gap with Andrew Irwin increased. But the tactic brought him closer to crashing.
“The last two laps were extremely difficult. I tried to slow it down and crashed almost three times, so it was difficult – I’m happy I managed to get it done.
I put a lot of effort into the weekend – I’ll pay the team back all of that. ”
Ryde was acquired two seconds before his victory. His consistency not only led him in the 2925 title hunt, but also supported the most point “Mountain of the Mountain” trophy he’s earned at Cadwell Park.
“I thought I was probably able to win two races this weekend, but I’m glad I got my final race since last year to get the King of the Mountain again.
I hated this truck, but now I love it! Yes, it was a great weekend. ”
