After Kyrie Irving tore the ACL in March and had surgery, he shared a healthy update on social media about his injury status with NBA fans.
The Dallas Mavericks season suffered mostly when Kyrie Irving collapsed with a devastating ACL injury during a home game in early March.
Given what happened just a month after the team traded Luka Donsic, it effectively ended any hopes Mavs or GM Nico Harrison might have had for the season.
Kylie’s injuries could have serious financial consequences for Dallas. The initial fear suggested he might miss a majority of the 2025-26 season, but he could return sooner.
Irving is the main man on the offensive, as shown in 2024-25 statistics before the injury. Fans are desperate for good news on this front, and Irving has recently been delivered.
The 33-year-old is extremely active on social media and isn’t always the best. However, his influence has been very positive since joining MAV.
Fans contacted Irving on X and asked how his recovery is progressing. The former NBA champion responded in a very healthy way.
“My recovery/rehabilitation is going really well. I’m grateful to ask you,” Irving wrote. “I am always strutting God one-sided through all my efforts.
“I hope you and your family do well! Don’t wake up another day on Earth, as no one has promised that. Hera.”
The Mavericks crashed from the 2025 NBA Play-In Tournament with the Memphis Grizzlies despite Anthony Davis and Derek Lively II returning.
They need Irving, who averaged 25.1 points, 4.9 rebounds and 4.9 assists over his final two seasons with the team.
Kyrie also has a player option worth $42 million next year, and if he chooses, he can become a free agent this offseason.
GM Harrison’s massive masterplan includes acquiring another superstar like LeBron James and Kevin Durant, but Kai’s presence also contributes to that.
Suffice to say that almost everything in the 2025-26 Dallas season depends on the shoulders and health of the elusive superstar point guard.
