When Luka Doncic is in the zone, he can become a flamethrower in court.
Dallas Mavericks fans have witnessed many harsh things in the franchise over the past six and a half years.
Luka Doncic’s scoring explosion rather widens during the regular season, but you may wonder how many points Luka is earning during practice sessions.
Well, Mavericks star Kyrie Irving recently shed light on it by telling a story about one of Donsic’s scoring streaks.
Irving recently performed a live stream on Twitch. One clip of the stream went viral on X, with Irving talking about witnessing an astounding score from his former teammate.
“I saw him give someone 24 points in three minutes,” Irving said.
After hearing Kai’s revelation, Mavs Nation was able to think of one player, Grant Williams.
“It was definitely Grant Williams,” fans wrote. Another was added, but “Luke is that guy.”
“Was it Grant?” A third Mavs fan has been added.
“I know that Grant Williams was actually talking about it. I know that he was certainly an LMAO,” the fourth fan said.
“What did Grant say to Luka, my Gaud,” the fan asked.
All the fans under the X tweet came up with the idea of former Mavericks forward Williams. But what was the reason behind it?
Williams participated in MAVS in 47 games during the 2023-24 NBA season. However, during his brief stint, Williams apparently developed Don Sic and MAVS beef.
Mavericks assistant GM and Vice President of Basketball Operations Michael Finley appeared on 105.3 The Fan to tell the story.
“(Grant Williams) decided he wanted to go under Luka’s skin, and he felt that Luka wasn’t ready to practice that day.
So, to keep the long story short, they are doing scrimmage, and he is telling Luka about the trash on top and bottom of the coat. Finally, Luka says, “OK,” and says that Luca ran 26-6 herself,” Finley said.
He added: “You can ask anyone, I’m not exaggerating. It was like he himself was running 26-6. He showed it all.
Williams stabs the bear and pays for it. It’s no surprise that after the Mavericks actually pissed off Don Chick, they traded him in the middle of the season.
