Los Angeles Lakers fans enjoyed themselves at Russell Westbrook after a series of disastrous plays at Clutch.
The Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timber Wolves recently locked their horns in arguably the best game of the season.
After four-quarters the score was tied to the game heading towards overtime. However, as the contest headed for Double-OT, the Nuggets and Timberwolves were inseparable after the OT.
Speaking of Double-OT, the Timberwolves recorded a 140-139 victory over the Nuggets. But they looked like they had a victory with Russell Westbrook’s platter.
Westbrook last played for the Los Angeles Lakers during the 2022-23 NBA season, but he remains one of the most criticised players in franchise history.
Back to the loss of Nuggets, Brodie had a disastrous sequence in the dying seconds of the game. First, he missed out on a wide open layup. If that wasn’t enough, Westbrook committed a shooting foul with a three-point shot, essentially passing the victory over the T-Wolf.
Laker Nation used the opportunity to take a shot with the old NBA MVP as the clip went viral on X.
Annoyed fan wrote: “Mf’er really missed the layup and ran to foul the three-pointer…” added another.
“Lmao Insane,” fans had a short tweet. However, one fan asked Russ’ IQ.
Several Lakers fans took jabs with the Nuggets to support the Lakers in the rankings.
“Nugget fans remember, win, draw, have fun!”
“Russell Westbrook saved the day for the Lakers.
It was truly a tragic night for Brody. He finished the game with 12 points, six rebounds and seven assists.
However, he also had five sales and shot 36.4% off the field, failing his final play. Westbrook’s poor sequence ruined the perfect night for Nikola Djokic, who had a 61-point triple double.
Nuggets head coach Michael Malone defended the 36-year-old, even after a terrible show during the game’s most important stretch.
“I know who Russell Westbrook is. He’s a guy who hates losing, so he might not want to hear something like that because he’s a perfectionist and he’s a competitor,” Malone said.
He added: “Knowing my way, he’s probably going to put a lot of this on him. But we lost the Denver Nuggets tonight. We lost the game tonight, as a group of people.
Malone did an incredible job of putting all the blame for the defeat on Westbrook’s shoulder. But even Malone must be aware of the effects of this horrifying loss.
They now fall to a 47-29 record for the season. Plus, they could lose the third species to La Lakers.
