The Los Angeles Lakers began roster decisions ahead of the playoffs.
Following the La Lakers’ dramatic victory over the Indiana Pacers, the team made a roster decision and changed Jordan Goodwin from two-way to standard contracts.
Goodwin had limited game time left on his previous contract, so the Lakers liked what they saw. Team legend James Worthy praised his toughness.
Shams Charania first reported that the Lakers decided to lead Goodwin to a standard contract, which is bad news for one player.
The Lakers have decided to abandon Come Reddish to create Goodwin’s roster space.

La Lakers created Jordan Goodwin’s roster space by cutting the Come Reddish. This is the second time the team broke up with him in 2025.
Reddish was exchanged for Charlotte Hornets as part of Mark Williams’ deal. The Lakers have withdrawn the deal citing health concerns about the centre.
This meant they held assets: Cam Reddish, Dalton Knecht, and their first round picks of 2031.
Dalton Knecht has played 20 Lakers games since the deal was cancelled, but Reddish has been barely featured, averaged 19 minutes per game.
Reddish has only played two games during his recent road trip against the Nuggets and Bucks. He played 31 games in the first half of the season.
Goodwin has played 19 games this season, along with his team averaged 6.4 points and 3.9 rebounds per game.
Reddish was the Atlanta Hawks’ first round pick in the NBA draft. He has been with the Lakers since 2023, following the Knicks and Trail Blazers stints.
The decision to cut back on the Cam Red Dish to create space for Jordan Goodwin could be the first of two moves the team makes.
ESPN’s Bobby Marks explains the move that ensures the Lakers are under a gorgeous apron.
He reported: “Reddish had an expired $2.4 million contract. The Lakers are still under the second apron, residing in converting or signing another player. They need to create a roster.”
The move the Lakers could make is to cut off overwhelming center Alex Wren and create space for two-way center Trey Jemison.
