Luka Doncic’s midseason move to La Lakers caught up.
La Lakers superstar Luka Doncic spoke honestly following the team’s dramatic 120-119 victory with the Indiana Pacers.
Discussing teammates LeBron James and Austin Reeves, Donsic admitted that he has a long way to go to catch up to replicate chemistry.
Doncic admits that he has to learn, research and coordinate his new teammates. But there’s one player with someone he already has an impressive connection.
One player who quickly enjoyed connecting with Luka Doncic in LA Lakers was teammate Jaxson Hayes.
Hayes and Donsic were mates long before they became teammates, shared the same agents and immediately linked from the court after the trade.
With a strange twist, Hayes admitted that the Mavericks had once tried to trade for him.
The pair defeated it together with the Lakers, and Jackson Hayes was said to be one of the key players in the Lakers’ final stifling victory over the Indiana Pacers.
To do that, former NBA star Chandler Parsons said:
“He’s key to this team, he’s putting that lob threat, giving him an athletic 5, changing his defensive shot, and giving Luka a lob threat offensively.”
In just 18 minutes, Jaxson Hayes scored 13 points, adding two rebounds and one assist.
Hayes was recently told by Lakers legend Byron Scott. Byron Scott believes he should be grateful every day to GM Rob Pelinka for taking Luka Donsic.
The Lakers were under great pressure after losing three previous games. During that range their defense took a step back, with the low right scoring of 146 by the Bulls.
This victory over the Pacers, as Parsons commented, was a better effort. “It was a balanced victory. I think they were great and incredibly unbeatable, but they won the game, they defended, they won the game and stopped when it became an issue.
“When you lose seven of your 10 games, this is a big win.”
The Lakers are returning to action with the Chicago Bulls tonight, looking to improve their 44-28 record.
