Brandon Moreno saw his hands grow in his home country as he closed the show with a unanimous decision victory at UFC Mexico.
Moreno sent Arena CDMX’s cloud home in the unanimous decision victory over one-off flyweight title challenger Steve Elsegg in the main event of Saturday’s fight night card in Mexico City.
The two-time flyweight champion took part in the 10th consecutive five-round battle in search of his first victory in Mexico’s home country after going 0-2-1 in his first three attempts. “Assassin’s Baby” was able to break the curse, and his emotions were poured in when he announced the winner.
Following Moreno’s second consecutive victory, the UFC and MMA professional fighters gave them ideas about Moreno’s victory over El Segue and how the entire battle unfolded.
