LeBron James and JJ Reddick look at their eyes and eyes on what the former brings to the team in the game, perfectly healthy.
The Los Angeles Lakers reminded fans who they were. In a massive game, the Lakers walked to the OKC Thunder house and beat 126-99.
In fact, the Lakers kept the lightning below 100 points. This is something only two teams did. It was a great defensive performance, especially from one Lakers star who finished game +28.
His 30-point performance was key to their victory, so fans picked out Luka Donsic in particular for praise. JJ Reddick was very impressed with how he was very accepting of the challenge of playing against OKC.
But what about LeBron James? Well, JJ Reddick believes he did what he did against the Houston Rockets as well, and is helping to his best victory of the season. And James was forced to agree.

At a postgame press conference, JJ Reddick noted that LeBron James’ defense is key to the Lakers’ two biggest wins this season, the Thunder and Rocket.
When James was asked about the coach’s comments, LeBron was forced to agree, noting that his experience and that basketball IQ would guide other players and allow them to become voices of defense.
“Obviously my voice on defense… I can see a lot of play before they happen because of their knowledge of the game…”
“We can always keep our heads on the swivel so that we can let people know what’s going on behind them and know what’s going on before it happens…I understand that’s my responsibility to lock in the defense.

LeBron James has had a great season. That’s true. But it is also true that his injuries have derailed much of his momentum along with the Lakers.
LeBron was a bit rusty when he returned to court. But it’s safe to say he’s back to his level after the last two games with the Pelicans, and now after the lightning.
Perhaps Kendrick Perkins was right when LeBron said he was hurt when he returned. However, it appears he has once again found his groove.
In the final two games, James averaged 23.0 points and 7.5 assists. James may be getting hot at the right time in the playoffs a few weeks away.
