Lebron James assaults at NBA controversial camera angles from the La Lakers-Minnesota Timberwolves series.
The Los Angeles Lakers suffered a 4-1 series loss at the hands of the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the 2025 NBA playoffs.
Both sides were on the scaffolding of the level after the first two games, as the series tied 1-1 while the Lakers were handed over in a gentleman’s sweeps.
However, Timberwolves certainly tilted things in favor of them with their wins of Game 3. Speaking of which, Game 3 also featured a controversial moment involving LeBron James and Anthony Edwards.
The NBA introduced invisible camera angles in Game 3 of Sky Camera, a Lakers-Timberwolves matchup.
It provided a top-down view, an unprecedented angle, to call him a foul against Edwards. The Lakers superstar recently dealt with it in a preview of a new episode of the “Mind the Game” podcast.
“In the postseason, there was camerawork for games in Minnesota, something I’ve never seen in F______’s life. I’ve never seen that computer work in my life,” James said.
“Where did that camera come from? It (it didn’t look like HD), it was like a forensic file.
In fact, top-down camera angles are rarely used by fans and players during the playoffs.
In fact, this caused a fuss among Lakers fans when the NBA didn’t use the technology at a critical moment in the Indiana Pacers vs. New York Knicks Game 1 conference final.
Even at 40, there’s no doubt that James is one of the faces of the NBA. Furthermore, the media relies heavily on him to gain interest from his fans.
There were several postseasons as James’ team was eliminated in the first round. However, some people used the king’s name to spark trade rumors.
Meanwhile, Skip Bayless, for some reason, called out James’ “theatre” in the middle of the Western Conference Finals. Another example of this is Stephen A. Smith took a shot to James regarding the goat argument.
All in all, the NBA feels like James is not ready to retire yet, despite James still playing 22 seasons.
