Chelsea and Newcastle United are reportedly pursuing a potential summer transfer window for Bayern Munich centre-back Kim Min-Jaeda.
South Korea International has not done his best since joining Bayern, despite previously moving many spells in Naples and Fenelverse.
According to Foot Mercato, Kim’s future appears to be more suspicious than in the summer.
Kim could certainly be a useful signature for the top Premier League club, and this report suggests he is accepting a move to the UK.
However, if Bavaria is ready to sell the 28-year-old, it is still unclear how much they will sell if that is the case.
Kim Min Jay may be a useful signature as Chelsea needs to close with defense
The second half of the season will be poor for Chelsea, and Enzo Maresca’s manager will be keen to strengthen his defense.
Italian tacticians have injured Wesley Fofana for most of the season, and the French fitness record will certainly be a concern for everyone at the club.
Meanwhile, Benoit Badiashile, Tosin Adarabioyo and Trevoh Chalobah were less convincing.
It’s easy to see that Kim is an upgrade for those players. So, this could be a wise move by the Bruce when it comes to something.
Newcastle, meanwhile, could be another attractive destination for Kim if Kim is about to escape from Bayern.
Magpies have won the Carabao Cup final this season, while continuing to challenge for Champions League qualifiers, so it looks like a place they really go.
It would be interesting to see how this saga develops and if other Premier League clubs were to take part in the race for Kim’s signature in weeks and months.
