Earlier this week, Leeds was confirmed to see a permanent departure for defender Rasmus Christensen, who will remain in Entracht Frankfurt in the near future after the two clubs agreed to the deal. It will be official in the summer, but with his first appearance since the announcement it didn’t work for the Danish international.
Christensen had no particular time in Leeds. He spent the 2022-23 season with the club, but then had a string of loan spells at As Roma and Frankfurt.
Impressed in Germany, Christensen was active for Frankfurt in the second leg of the Europa League quarterfinal against Tottenham on Thursday. And it was picked up by the German media in the aftermath of an 1-0 victory on the side of Ange Postecoglou.

According to Leeds United News, Frankfurter Neue Press released a poignant rating of Christensen’s performance against Tottenham when rating players.
“As usual, there is ample strength and commitment, but there are some mistakes too. The permanently signed Dane struggled with Matthew’s Tell, and his energy appears to have faded at the final stretch of the season.
“He had to convert it in the 82nd minute. Two minutes later, he was in a dangerous position again, just as miserable. It undermined his performance.
