Leeds hopes to sign strikers before the summer transfer window closes as they aim to continue to strengthen their teams over the 2025-26 season. And now they seem to be heavily boosted their chances of signing one of their main targets.
Last week it was revealed that Aleksander Mitrovic is one of the leading names on the Leeds striker list. The former Newcastle and Fulham man are expected to leave Al Hilal after Darwin Nunes arrives from Liverpool, and a return to the Premier League appears to be very likely for him.
Leeds is expected to become a favorite to sign Alexander Mitrovich
Like Leeds, Tottenham is linked to Mitrovich, but Mick Brown tells Soccer Insider that the move to Eland Road is far more likely for Serbia International.
“Thomas Frank wants to sign another striker. They have Solanke out there, who will be their first choice, but if he gets injured or something happens, they don’t have to resort to Richarrison.
“Mitrovic scores goals and has a great track record in the Premier League. Strukers aren’t plentiful, so it’s hard for the Spurs to find someone.
“He’s linked in the same way as Leeds, but I think this is a better move for him. I think he’s a bit of a risk. Teams like Leeds can take that risk, but Tottenham would want them to be more reliable and reliable.
Mitrovic has proven himself in the Premier League, especially in Fulham’s spells. As far as striker options go, he might be ideal for Leeds.
