Leeds United is believed to be approaching signing a 130,000-pound star that was actually compared to another rumored target of Calvin Phillips.
Phillips is linked to Man City’s return to Leeds
Whites won the Championship to Premier League promotion on Monday evening, gushing wild scenes from a 6-0 victory at Stoke City at Elland Road opening hours.
Daniel Fark and the Leeds players were watching from Elland Road as Burnley beat Sheffield United 2-1.
The pitch has been noted to win the title with victory at Bristol City and Plymouth Argyle, but behind the scenes preparations have already been made ahead of the transfer market.
Many players have already linked their journey to Yorkshire, including former Star Phillips, who has found it difficult since leaving Leeds in 2022.
The holding midfielder has struggled to break into Pep Guardiola’s plans and was loaned to West Ham in the beginning of 2024 before he joined Ipswichtown for the current 2024/25 campaign.
However, with the tractor boys on the course to make an immediate return to the championship, Phillips may be looking for another new club and is thought to be eager to rejoin Leeds. The 29-year-old is believed to be pushing for his return to Elland Road.

Leeds is close to signing Everton’s Star Doocore for free
According to a French report, Everton’s Abdouyer Decolle is “close to Leeds.” Toffee stars are out of contract at the end of the current campaign, so they can move to whites for free.

Everything is quiet from the club’s side. Obviously I love the club. I’ve always said, let’s see what happens in the next few weeks.”
When asked about signing a new deal with Everton, the 32-year-old added: “Why? To be honest, I love this club. I’ve always said I want to stay. Obviously my contract is gone, but I love the club.”
